Question 1

Which train is faster: IC or TLK?

Accepted Answer

The speed depends on the specific service, its route and the number of stops, so no single rule can be given for every connection. On PolishTrains, you can search for a connection from Jelenia Góra to Łódź Chojny and choose an available IC service.

Question 2

What document should I show on the train to use a discount?

Accepted Answer

During inspection, show a document confirming your entitlement to the relevant discount and proof of identity if the carrier requires it. On PolishTrains, select the appropriate discount when buying the ticket.

Question 3

How can I check which platform the train departs from?

Accepted Answer

You can check the track number on the departure board at the station, as the timetable on the service does not show platform numbers. On PolishTrains, however, you can search for a connection by station and date.

Question 4

How do I add a ticket to the calendar on my phone?

Accepted Answer

PolishTrains does not offer the option to add a ticket to a calendar. After purchase, you will receive the ticket by SMS or find it in the PolishTrains app.

Question 5

What is the easiest way to travel around Poland by train without a car?

Accepted Answer

The simplest way is to search for a connection between the selected stations and match it to the travel date. On PolishTrains, you can check the route from Jelenia Góra to Łódź Chojny and choose an available IC service.
