Can I return a ticket purchased on PolishTrains?

Yes. You can submit a return using the form on [the Refunds & Exchanges page](/refunds), by providing your booking number or ticket number and the email address used at the time of purchase. The possibility of a return depends on the ticket fare and the [carrier's terms and conditions](/terms/carriers-terms).

Can I return a ticket purchased on the carrier's website?

No. A ticket must be returned through the service where it was purchased.

How long do I have to return my ticket?

The return deadline depends on the carrier and the ticket fare: - **PKP Intercity domestic tickets** – returns possible up to 20 minutes before the scheduled departure. - **PKP Intercity international tickets** – returns possible up to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure (except for the **Super Promo International** fare, which is non-refundable). - **Regional and international tickets** – returns possible before the scheduled departure, in accordance with the relevant carrier's terms and conditions. How much does a ticket return cost?

When returning a ticket, a fee will be deducted from the price in accordance with [the carrier's terms and conditions](/terms/carriers-terms) and [the PolishTrains terms of service](/terms).

When will I receive my refund?

The refund will be sent using the same payment method within 3 days.

One of the passengers on my ticket will not be travelling. Can I get a partial refund?

A partial ticket refund is not available. You can apply for a refund for the unused portion of the ticket through a complaint, based on confirmation obtained from the ticket office or the conductor on the train.

How can I exchange my ticket?

You can exchange your ticket using the form on [the Refunds & Exchanges page](/refunds). Exchanges are possible up to 30 minutes before the scheduled train departure.

What can I change when exchanging my ticket?

During the exchange, you can change: - travel date - time - discount type - arrival station, but only if the route is extended (the route cannot be shortened)

Can I change the station or number of passengers?

No. The new ticket cannot differ in terms of the number of passengers or stations.

Is changing passenger details considered a ticket exchange?

No. Changing passenger details is not a ticket exchange. The main passenger's details can only be changed by contacting [Customer Service](/contact).

What if the exchanged ticket is more or less expensive?

If the new ticket is more expensive, you'll need to pay the difference. If it's cheaper, the difference will be refunded to the account or card used for the purchase.

Domestic ticket (PKP Intercity)

Cancellation of a domestic ticket is subject to a fee charged by the Carrier (amounting to 15% of the ticket price) and a fee charged by the EuroPodróże service.
The amount due to the User for the refunded ticket is transferred via the same payment method used to purchase the ticket, within 3 days.
It is not possible to refund a ticket that has been checked by a ticket inspector. A refund can only be obtained by making a complaint.
After the train’s departure time, a ticket can only be refunded via a complaint. The terms and conditions for complaints depend on the relevant Carrier’s terms and conditions. For a complaint to be accepted, proof that the ticket has not been used is required; this is issued at the ticket office no later than the date and time of the ticket’s validity, or a document issued by the conductor stating the reason why the ticket was not used. In the case of tickets for EIP and EIC trains purchased as part of the ** “SuperPromo”** or ** “Promo” offers,** a cancellation certificate can be obtained upon notification and presentation of the ticket at a ticket office or service point within 30 minutes of the train’s scheduled departure.

International ticket (PKP Intercity)

The ticket may be returned no later than 20 minutes before the train’s departure.
Cancellation of an international ticket incurs a fee charged by the Carrier (amounting to 10% of the ticket price if the ticket is returned no later than one day before the train’s departure, or 50% if the ticket is returned on the day of the train’s departure) and a fee charged by the EuroPodróże service.
The amount due to the User for the refunded ticket is transferred via the same payment method used to purchase the ticket, within 3 days.
After the train’s departure time, a ticket can only be refunded via a complaint. The terms and conditions for complaints depend on the terms and conditions of the relevant Carrier. Ticket exchanges can be made up to 30 minutes before train departure.
Exchanges can be made only within such parameters as: date, time, type of reduced fare (size of reduced fare), passenger's name.
The new ticket must not differ in terms of: the number of persons and stations.

If the price of the new ticket is higher than that of the ticket being exchanged, the exchange will only take place once the additional payment has been made, provided that this payment is made at least 30 minutes before the departure of the train to which the exchanged ticket relates. Depending on the journey,changes can be made to the following details: date, time, allocated seat, and the passenger’s first name and surname.
The new ticket must not differ in terms of the number of passengers or the stations.
If the price of the new ticket is higher than that of the ticket being exchanged, the exchange will only take place once the additional payment has been made, provided that this payment was made at least one day before the departure of the train to which the exchanged ticket relates. A link to make the additional payment will be sent once you have completed the form below and the exchange has been successfully confirmed.
If the price of the new ticket is lower, the difference in ticket prices will be refunded to the account or card used for payment.
