Information about the Zakopane–Gdańsk connection
The route connects Zakopane with the Baltic coast in Gdańsk, linking the south of Poland with the north of the country. TLK, Express InterCity and IC trains run on this route, and the journey takes more than seven hours.
Some services on this route run without a change, while others require you to change trains along the way. You can check the current timetable divided into direct services and those requiring a change more quickly on PolishTrains than on the departure board at the station. For such a long journey, choosing a direct service reduces the risk of missing the next train.
A ticket bought through PolishTrains goes straight to the app, so you can show it to the conductor on your phone screen. TLK trains set the lower end of the range, with a standard ticket usually costing from around PLN 95 to around PLN 180, while choosing the faster Express InterCity pushes up the upper end. Whether a discount lowers this price depends on the document: a pensioner or disability pensioner must show a card entitling them to a statutory discount, and you can select the appropriate discounted ticket in PolishTrains when buying it.
