Information about the Tarnów - Kraków connection
Tarnów and Kraków are connected by one of the main railway lines in Małopolska, operated mainly by IC Intercity trains. The journey on this connection takes about half an hour, making it one of the shorter routes in the region.
IC Intercity sets the lower end of the price range here: a full-price ticket usually costs from around PLN 10 to around PLN 30, while the upper limit is set by the faster Pendolino. Those who buy a ticket in advance are more likely to pay towards the lower end of this range than passengers paying on the day of travel. Anyone choosing between Koleo, the Intercity app and a ticket search engine can compare the prices of both train categories in one place on PolishTrains.
A seat in the selected class is booked when buying the ticket on PolishTrains, where, after the journey has been paid for, the ticket is sent by SMS and appears in the app. Some services on this route run without a change, while others require one change of train along the way. Passengers download an invoice for such a ticket themselves from their PolishTrains account, without submitting an additional paper application.
